Ratings & Transactions
RepuRate allows both buyers and sellers to rate each other based on three key criteria:
- Timeliness: Did they complete the transaction on time?
- Accuracy (Seller) / Commitment (Buyer): Was the product/service as described? Did the buyer follow through?
- Communication Quality: Was the interaction professional and clear?
If only one party submits a rating and the other does not within 72 hours, the submitted rating will still count.
No. Once a rating is submitted, it cannot be changed, preventing manipulation.
No. Once a transaction occurs, ratings are mandatory if requested by the buyer and if the seller does not respond, the buyer’s rating will stand.
If you believe a rating is unfair, you can dispute it with the other party through RepuRate’s resolution process that is driven through an automated AI-based protocol. Unless the basic “five star” rating system, one individual bad rating does not have as material adverse impact on a person’s overall score, so long as the platform is used regularly.
RepuRate allows anyone to rate a seller, but a registered account is better and only takes a minute.
- Registered users’ ratings carry more weight in the overall score. It is easy and free to create a basic account!
- Unregistered users (anonymous) can leave ratings which are weighed less in the algorithm, and these are monitored more closely with extra scrutiny to prevent fraud.
Ratings must be submitted by the parties within 72 hours of a request from either a buyer or seller, which should be requested only after the transaction is complete.
Yes, but only once per unique transaction.
No, ratings are only valid after a completed transaction.
If you receive an unfair rating, you can:
- Request a dispute resolution through RepuRate’s automated system.
- Provide evidence to support your case.
No, you may only request ratings for transactions from the time your account was activated and moving forward from there.
No, ratings are permanently a part of the overall score and is designed to maintain transparency and integrity in the platform.
RepuRate uses:
- Two-way rating confirmation - both parties are notified and given the opportunity to rate the transaction.
- Optional proof submission when disputes appear (receipts, delivery confirmation, etc.)
Ratings remain a part of your score indefinitely but the more ratings you receive, the less a specific rating impacts your overall score. The score will naturally seek the “average” (high or low) over time, meaning you must continue to consistently use the platform to maintain an above-average rating. New ratings also impact the overall score more than older ratings, allowing people to improve their ratings if they fall behind in the scoring, or stop using the system for a period of time.
When your account is activated, your score will start out as an “A” (which can go to an A+ with excellent ratings) but if your account remains unrated for a long period of time, the score will eventually begin to erode. Your total number of transactions shown as a part of your score will also stay at zero, which may be seen as a negative by a potential user. Use it, to avoid losing it.
No. Only users who completed a transaction together can rate each other.
Your score is calculated as a weighted average based on various inputs, so one bad rating won’t drastically affect your score, if at all. The more ratings you have the less one individual rating will impact your overall score. So use RepuRate for every one of your transactions!
Yes, both parties rate each other separately, and ratings are weighted accordingly.
RepuRate prevents revenge ratings by hiding the other party’s rating and use them to re-score each individual separately, providing for a safe space to rate someone honestly. If a rating from one of the two individual varies materially from the other, RepuRate’s AI will look to adjust and potentially seek additional back up to support the rating, so be honest!
There are two key components of your buyer and seller rating. First, a letter grade... A+ for the highest rated, all the way to F (lowest rated), depending on the mathematical average scores from each of your ratings; and second, the number of total transactions that have been rated. A+ the BEST OF THE BEST, then A = Excellent, B = Good, C = Average, D = Good and F = Poor. All new accounts start as an A, so it is your score to lose.
All new accounts start with an “A” rating, and the transaction counter at zero. It is the user’s job to maintain the “A” rating. Users may eventually receive an A+ (the absolute best score available or may go down with less favorable ratings. The more overall ratings a user has, the less weight a negative rating will have on the overall score.
Like traditional credit reporting tools, if you stop using RepuRate, your score will eventually begin to erode as a result of non-use, which encourages sellers to continue to seek new ratings (and perform with integrity). Users also receive a transaction count which gives a user an understanding of how active the user is as a buyer and seller, respectively. Finally, RepuRate uses AI and machine learning with advanced fraud detection throughout its ecosystem to prevent large scale system gaming.

Disputes & Fraud Protection
If a dispute occurs:
- 1) Both users submit evidence (messages, receipts, etc.)
- 2) RepuRate’s automated system analyzes the dispute based on transaction data.
- 3) A final resolution is issued based on the system’s findings.
Final decisions are generally automated unless legal requirements dictate otherwise.
Dispute resolutions are final and cannot be appealed. If the system cannot resolve the issue, that transaction rating will be deleted for both the seller and buyer.
If your account is flagged, you may:
- Be required to verify your identity or validate transactions.
- Face a temporary suspension while your account is reviewed.
Multiple flags in a short period of time can result in the account being banned, at RepuRate’s sole discretion.
RepuRate detects fake ratings by several means, including:
- Blocking multiple ratings from the same IP/user account in short periods of time.
- Limiting anonymous ratings and weighing them less than registered accounts.
- Tracking behavioral patterns of fraudulent users.
- Using a complex rating algorithm that seeks to limit the impact of heavy ratings over a short period of time.
- Requiring both parties the opportunity to rate and comparing the results from both parties.
You can dispute the rating, and if there is no proof of transaction, it will be removed.
Users who abuse the rating system will have their accounts flagged and possibly banned.
RepuRate allows both parties to submit ratings to be considered for score impact. Non-registered ratings provide very limited weight and are often flagged for extra review by RepuRate’s AI-based algorithms.
The system detects suspicious rating activity, including simultaneous or several ratings within a specified period of time by the same user(s) and flags it for review, or automatically removes/reduces the score’s weight.
If no resolution is reached in 72 hours, the system closes the dispute based on submitted evidence shortly thereafter.

Yes, you can upgrade anytime, but downgrades are only allowed at renewal.
You can suspend your RepuRate account at any time. When suspended, your profile and ratings are no longer visible to other users, and a message will appear indicating that the account has been suspended by the user. While full deletion of your account data is generally not permitted, RepuRate may retain certain information to prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and maintain the integrity of the reputation system. This helps ensure that users cannot erase negative ratings and restart with a clean profile, which protects trust across the platform.
Our scoring system rewards improvement—recent positive ratings are weighted more heavily, giving users a fair chance to rebuild their score. If your account has a low score due to poor transaction history, the algorithm allows you to swiftly rebuild a good score by participating in positive transactions as it will weigh more recent transactions higher than those from the past. Additionally, your score will slowly increase to our “average baseline” over time, which will also help you rebuild your reputation score swiftly. This, alongside a series of good transactions, can get you there in a relatively short period of time.

Unverified users can still leave ratings, but their ratings are scrutinized more by RepuRate’s anti-fraud AI.
