Yes, RepuRate is great for verifying trust and reputation in legal transactions.

When you create a transaction (/transact/new_transaction/), the other party automatically receives a notification via email or SMS to confirm and rate the transaction. Each transaction must be created individually. Automated bulk rating requests are under development and will be available in a future release.

Yes! RepuRate can verify borrower/seller trustworthiness for lending.

Yes! Your RepuRate public profile can serve as a digital trust certification. Share your profile link (repurate.co/member/public/your-handle) in job applications, resumes, or portfolios to demonstrate your credibility and track record.

Creating & Managing Your Account

Members can create groups and invite members to leverage the collective members aggregate scores. Selling a a group online? List your public profile and allow members to rate the group, at which point the group members benefit from the score. Groups can then counter-rate the counterparty.

RepuRate badges are objective trust signals earned through verified identity, background screening, and real transaction performance. They highlight reliability — like on-time delivery, on-time payment, clarity, dispute-free history, and completed milestones — so buyers and sellers can instantly see who is credible. Most badges are earned automatically through your behavior, making your reputation visible and trustworthy across every marketplace.

RepuRate offers four account types: Individual (Free), Individual - Pro, Group, and Business. Free accounts can use core platform features. Paid plans add premium capabilities such as verification and expanded group capabilities.

Free registered accounts are not currently blocked by a hard seller-rating count in code. Current free-tier limits are primarily group-related: up to 1 owned group, up to 5 effective joined groups, up to 5 effective members in a free-owned group, and up to 1 child group under a free-owned parent group. Anonymous non-member ratings remain limited to 3 per contact.

When upgrading to a paid account, you'll be asked to verify your identity (/ident/start_ident/) through our secure verification partner. The process involves: - Submitting a photo of a government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or national ID card). - Taking a selfie for facial matching. - Automated verification — results are typically available within minutes. Once verified, you'll receive the RepuRate Verified badge on your profile.

Yes! You can upgrade your account (/payment/select_sub/) at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — your existing features remain active until renewal.

You can deactivate your account (/member/settings/deactivate/) at any time from your settings. When deactivated: - Your profile and ratings are no longer visible to other users. - Your data is preserved — nothing is permanently deleted. - You can reactivate your account (/member/settings/reactivate/) at any time to restore full access. RepuRate does not offer permanent account deletion to maintain the integrity of transaction records.

Yes, but we recommend using separate accounts for personal and business use (registered with different email addresses) to keep your business reputation distinct from your personal one. You can also use aliases (/member/settings/aliases/) to manage different identities within a single account.

You can reset your password (/accounts/password/reset/) from the login screen. Enter your email address and you'll receive a link to create a new password.

No, each user is limited to one account per person (for individuals) and one account per operating business. RepuRate reserves the right to terminate accounts found to be duplicative and in violation of this policy with the goal of maintaining the platform’s integrity and trust.

Unverified users can still leave ratings, but their ratings are scrutinized more by RepuRate’s anti-fraud AI. Free (not verified) accounts carry the same weight in ratings, unlike anonymous ratings (ratings left without logging into your account), that are scrutinized more and carry less weight than account holders.

Yes! RepuRate works for freelancers, contractors, and service providers. When creating a transaction (/transact/new_transaction/), select "Services" or "Professional Services" as the item type to categorize your service-based transactions.

Yes! RepuRate is great for rental agreements between individuals. Create a transaction (/transact/new_transaction/) for your rental, and both landlord and tenant can rate each other on integrity, reliability, and responsiveness.

Disputes & Fraud Protection

You have up to 30 days from the date the rating is completed (i.e., from the time both parties have rated). After that period, the transaction stands as rated by both parties.

If a dispute occurs: - Either party opens a dispute from the Dispute Center (/transact/dispute-center/). - Both users submit evidence (screenshots, receipts, photos, etc.). - One party proposes a resolution. - The other party can accept or reject the proposed resolution. - If the parties cannot reach agreement, the dispute can be escalated to RepuRate for admin review.

Dispute resolutions are final and cannot be appealed. If the system cannot resolve the issue, that transaction rating will be deleted for both the seller and buyer.

If your account is flagged for suspicious activity, you may be required to verify your identity (/ident/start_ident/) or validate recent transactions. In serious cases, your account may be temporarily suspended while under review. Repeated violations can result in a permanent ban.

RepuRate prevents rating manipulation through several measures: - Two-way confirmation — Both parties must confirm a transaction before ratings are allowed. - Anonymous rating limits — Unregistered users are limited to 3 total ratings across the platform. - One rating per transaction — Users cannot rate the same transaction more than once. - Hidden ratings — Ratings are concealed until both parties submit, preventing coordinated manipulation. - Verified accounts — Ratings from identity-verified (/ident/start_ident/) accounts carry more weight. Advanced pattern detection for suspicious rating activity is under development and will be available in a future release.

Users who abuse the rating system may have their accounts flagged for review and potentially banned. If you believe someone is leaving unfair ratings, report the behavior through your Support page (/member/support/) or Contact Us (/contact/).

RepuRate requires contact information (email or phone) for all ratings, even anonymous ones. Registered users' ratings carry more weight in the overall score. Anonymous ratings are limited to 3 per person and carry less weight. The two-way confirmation system also ensures that both parties in a transaction are real participants.

Each rating is tied to a unique, confirmed transaction, so it is difficult for someone to submit multiple fraudulent ratings at once. If you notice suspicious rating activity on your account, report it through your Support page (/member/support/) for review. Automated detection of suspicious rating patterns is under development and will be available in a future release.

Disputes remain open until resolved. If the parties cannot reach agreement, either party can escalate the dispute to RepuRate for admin review from the Dispute Center (/transact/dispute-center/). We recommend resolving disputes promptly, but both parties have time to submit evidence and respond.

You can report suspicious activity by visiting your Support page (/member/support/) (available from the menu when logged in), or by sending us a message through our Contact Us (/contact/) form. You can also block specific members (/member/settings/blocked-members/) from interacting with you.

A dispute can be filed once a transaction is finalized. The default dispute window is 30 days from finalization (configurable by platform settings).

Ratings & Transactions

RepuRate allows both buyers and sellers to rate each other based on three key criteria: - Integrity (1–5 stars): Did they deliver what was promised and follow through on commitments? - Reliability (1–5 stars): Did they follow through in a timely way and meet their obligations? - Responsiveness (1–5 stars): Did they communicate clearly and engage appropriately? Your overall transaction score is the average of these three ratings. Multiple transaction scores are then combined into your overall reputation letter grade (A+ to F).

No. Once a rating is submitted, it cannot be changed. This prevents manipulation and ensures the integrity of the platform. If you believe you received an unfair rating, you can file a dispute (/transact/dispute-center/) through our resolution process.

If you believe a rating is unfair, you can dispute it through RepuRate's resolution process: - Go to your Dispute Center (/transact/dispute-center/). - Select the transaction and file a dispute. - Submit supporting evidence (screenshots, receipts, photos). - The other party will be notified and can respond. - If the parties cannot reach agreement, the dispute can be escalated to RepuRate for admin review.

There is no fixed post-transaction rating countdown currently enforced in the member rating flow. Invite confirmation links expire after 72 hours, and rating promptly is recommended so transactions can finalize quickly.

Yes, but only once per unique transaction. Each transaction allows one rating from each party. If you do multiple transactions with the same person, each transaction gets its own separate rating.

Same process as 'What if I get an unfair rating?': open a dispute in the Dispute Center, provide evidence, and escalate if needed.

No, you may only request ratings for transactions from the time your account was activated and moving forward from there.

RepuRate uses a multi-step verification process: - Two-way confirmation — When a transaction is created, the other party receives a notification to confirm their participation. Both parties must confirm before the transaction can proceed to rating. - Evidence submission — If a dispute arises, both parties can submit supporting evidence (receipts, screenshots, delivery confirmation) through the Dispute Center (/transact/dispute-center/).

Ratings remain part of your score indefinitely. However, the more ratings you receive, the less any single rating impacts your overall score. Recent ratings carry more weight than older ones, giving you the opportunity to improve your score over time through consistently positive transactions.

No. Only users who completed a transaction together can rate each other.

Yes, both parties rate each other separately, and ratings are weighted accordingly.

RepuRate prevents revenge ratings by hiding the other party’s rating and use them to re-score each individual separately, providing for a safe space to rate someone honestly. If a rating from one of the two individual varies materially from the other, RepuRate’s AI will look to adjust and potentially seek additional back up to support the rating, so be honest!

Your reputation is displayed as two key components: - Letter grade — From A+ (highest) to F (lowest), calculated from your transaction ratings across Integrity, Reliability, and Responsiveness. - Transaction count — The total number of rated transactions, so others can see how active you are on the platform. These appear on your dashboard (/member/), your public profile, and any embed widgets (/member/settings/embed-cards/) you create. Additional details are available to other registered members like transaction history, etc.

All new accounts start with an "A" rating. To maintain or improve your score: - Consistently deliver on your commitments in transactions. - Communicate clearly and respond promptly. - Stay active — record your transactions (/transact/new_transaction/) regularly. Users who maintain excellent ratings across many transactions can earn an A+ — the highest score available.

RepuRate has multiple safeguards against gaming: - Two-way confirmation — Both parties must confirm a transaction occurred before ratings are allowed. - Anonymous limits — Unregistered users can only leave 3 total ratings. - Score decay — If you stop using RepuRate, your score gradually erodes, encouraging ongoing genuine participation. - Weighted recency — Recent ratings carry more weight, so you can't rest on old positive ratings indefinitely. - One rating per transaction — You can only rate someone once per completed transaction.

Yes. Non-members can submit ratings from invite links without creating an account. The system currently allows up to 3 anonymous ratings per contact (email/phone). After that, sign-up is required to continue rating.
